This recipe comes to us courtesy of my little sister and brother-in-law, fondly referred to by their couple name: K-Zee. This dish is absolutely bomb - the balance of flavours is unreal! You've got savory, and salty from the pecorino, spicy from the red pepper flakes, and the perfect hint of sweet with a drizzle of honey at the end.
Ingredients
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into chunks
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- ⅓ C. grated pecorino cheese, plus more for serving
- ½ tsp. (more or less) red pepper flakes
- Honey, for drizzling
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400F.
Add broccoli, salt, pepper, olive oil, pecorino and pepper flakes to a large bowl. Mix thoroughly so the broccoli is coated with the cheese, pepper flakes, and olive oil.
Spread broccoli evenly over a large baking sheet.
Roast for 15-20 minutes, until broccoli is starting to brown.
Place on a serving dish, and shave more pecorino over the top. Drizzle with honey and serve.
