This cocktail is all things fall. From the ginger in the sugar spice rim to the whiskey to of course, the layers of apple flavour. These go down VERY easy.
Ingredients
- ¼ C. sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ginger
- lemon slice
- 1 tablespoon apple butter
- 1 oz apple cider
- 1 oz whiskey or bourbon
- ½ oz of calvados or apple brandy
- splash of sparkling white wine
- dried apple slice (garnish)
- fresh cranberry (garnish)
Directions
Combine the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger in a small bowl. Rub your lemon slice around the rim of your glass (I used a rocks glass, but you could totally do a Nick & Nora or a coupe). Dip the rim of the glass in the sugar mixture.
Combine the apple butter, apple cider, whiskey and calvados in in your mixer over ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Strain into your glass. Top with sparkling white wine.
Garnish with dried apple and cranberry. Enjoy!
