Let's Gather the Ingredients!

We're making the casserole using fresh green beans and homemade mushroom sauce.

Blanch

Cook the green beans on high in the microwave for three minutes. Add to ice bath.

Sauté 

Cook garlic & shallots in butter.

Cook the mushrooms, then add to the drained green beans.

In the same pan, add butter and flour. Then add milk, broth & parmesan. Thicken.

Mix & Bake

Mix and bake at 350F for 30 minutes.

It's not green bean casserole without fried onions. Add & bake another 5 minutes.
