Broiled Asparagus
By far the quickest and easiest way to cook asparagus to perfection. If you want a classic steakhouse side, this is the recipe for you. It's also super forgiving - don't feel the need to follow these measurements exactly, do it according to your taste!

- 1 lb asparagus woody stems removed (save for later use)
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ tsp fresh black pepper
Preheat your oven to the high setting on broil. Place your top oven rack about six inches away from the element.
Add all ingredients to a large bowl. Toss to combine.
Spread the asparagus evenly in a single layer on a baking sheet. Broil for 3-4 minutes, toss and broil for another 3-4 minutes.
Serve immediately.
High heat is key to this recipe. Make sure your oven preheats!
Do not overcrowd the pan.
