Chocolate Cake Milkshake with Homemade Whipped Cream

  • Immersion Blender with Whisk Attachment, or Hand Beaters

Ingredients
  

For the Milkshake

  • 2 slices chocolate cake
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 C milk

For the Homemade Whipped Cream

  • ½ C heavy cream
  • 2-3 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Garnishes

  • whipped cream
  • chocolate sauce
  • cherries
  • another slice of cake
  • sprinkles

Instructions
 

For the Milkshake

  • Combine the cake, ice cream and milk in a blender. Blend for about 60 seconds, or until smooth and the cake is broken up into small crumbs.
  • Pour into two large glasses, garnish as you like. Serve with straws and a spoon.

For the Whipped Cream

  • Combine the whipped cream, sugar and vanilla into a bowl. Whisk with an immersion blender, or using hand beaters until soft peaks form (that can stand on their own). Add to your milkshake and enjoy!

Notes

Try it with chocolate ice cream, or a different type of cake. 
If you're feeling boozy, add Irish Cream or coffee liqueur.
