Strawberry Shortcake Cocktail

This cocktail literally tastes like strawberry shortcake but in liquid form. And with vodka. Oh and it's super easy. What more could you ask for?

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz strawberry simple syrup
  • ¼ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 3 oz cream soda
  • 1 fresh strawberry for garnish

Strawberry Simple Syrup

  • 6-7 fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions
 

  • Make the strawberry simple syrup. Combine water, sugar and strawberries in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer. Cook until strawberries are soft. Strain and cool.
  • Pour a little of the strawberry syrup in a bowl. Pour the graham crackers in a second bowl. Dip the rim of your glass into the syrup, and then the graham crackers. Set aside.
  • Combine the strawberry syrup and vodka in a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake for 30 seconds. Strain into glass.
  • Top with fresh strawberry. Enjoy!
