Mac and cheese is a must in the fall, and this creamy brie mac and cheese is perfect. Seriously, is there anything better on a cold, windy day than curling up with a steaming bowl of this?
We love a mix of old cheddar, gruyere, and brie for this one. The flavor is on point.
Roux is the based of our sauce - whisking together butter and flour.
Whisk the flour and butter over medium heat until it starts bubbling, about 2 minutes.
Whisk consistently the whole time. Cook until it begins to thicken.
Pour the sauce over your favorite cooked macaroni shape. Pour that into a prepared 9x13" pan.
Make the panko crust and spread over the top of the mac and cheese. Bake at 375 F for 30-40 minutes.
